Important:
The ownership of Cigna Worldwide Life Insurance Company Limited (“Cigna Life”) was transferred to the Chubb group in July 2022 and Cigna Life had been renamed to “Chubb Life Insurance Hong Kong Limited”. The policies originally under Cigna Life have already been transferred to one of the following companies: (1) Chubb Life Insurance Hong Kong Limited or (2) Cigna Worldwide General Insurance Company Limited. Meanwhile, please note that Chubb Life Insurance Hong Kong Limited and Chubb Life Insurance Company Limited are two different entities currently. Initial premium (2 monthly premium for initial premium).
Subsequent premium will be billed on the 3rd day of premium due month. (or the work day immediately after 3rd in case of Public Holiday or non-business day).
Any change of premium instruction must be received by Cigna at least 2 working days before the billing.
18th is the rebilling day in case there is a failure in collection on 3rd.
In case of failure of billing on 18th, all outstanding premiums will be rebilled on 3rd of following month, as long as the Policy is still in-force.
(1) Both Visa & Master are allowed. Cardholder must be either Policyholder or Person Insured.
(2) Bank A/C must be a HKD Account open at a registered bank in Hong Kong. A/C holder must be either Policyholder or Person Insured. It will take up to 8 weeks to set up Direct Debit Authorization.
(3) Standing instruction is not accepted.
(4) Post-dated cheque, or third party cheque (other than Policyholder, Person Insured) are generally not accepted; all cheques should be marked the name of Applicant, Person Insured and policy number (if applicable) at the back.
(5) Cheque is only acceptable for exceptional payment. (Exceptional payment will only be accepted for subsequent premium failure made by Credit Card or Bank A/C or subject approval by Cigna).
(6) Bank draft is only accepted if proof of source of fund is submitted.
(7) For bank transfer and ATM transfer, original slip with policy number must be sent to Cigna. Online transfer should be with payment proof (Exceptional payment Form if pay by 3rd party). (Updated: 17 Jan 2018)

(8) Appointment Request Form ([A1]) for Counter Service is required to fill and send to Cigna CS by email ONE day in advance.

(9) For Union Pay, please make the payment by using chip card (晶片卡) instead of magnetic strip card(磁帶卡). As informed by Cigna, some transactions made by magnetic strip card are being rejected. (Updated: 2 Jan 2018)
(10) For Life license policy / Health Product , Exceptional Payment Declaration Form [E1] is required if the premium is above HKD 80,000. For third party payments, only payments by person(s) in the specified categories will be accepted. If third party payor is company.
