Change of Payment Method - Heng An Standard Life

Important Notice

1.  Submit 1 month premium in advance for monthly payment mode, otherwise, 1 modal premium is sufficient.

2.  For monthly mode, outstanding and advance contribution can exceptionally be waived for CCA set up given that outstanding premium is no more than 2 months.  Upon successful CCA update in SL system, All outstanding contribution will be collected in one go at the nearest CCA collection run based on the billing date of the policy.  The policy owner needs to be aware that in case scheduled collection not successful, very high risk of the policy go lapse or paid up given 3 months of missing premium.

3.  Billing date (5th, 12th, 20th, 27th) can be changed once the policy has been issued.  Billing date is paired up as the 5th with the 20th and the 12th with the 27th for multiple billing mechanisms (auto-pay collection).

4.  The credit card expiry date must be over 3 months.

5.  BSO Form from SL is acceptable for HSBC & SCB in HK only.  For non-HSBC and SCB, please use Bank Standing Order Form of their own bank.

6.  For bank transfer, please submit Transaction Advice which shows the bank account number and full name of  the account holder in PRINTED format. The name of the account holder shown must be the same as the Proposed Policy Owner. Otherwise, client needs to submit bank statement to show the client’s name, bank account number and the transaction details.

7.  For Heng An Standard Life (Asia) Limited (SL), daily cut off time is HK business day before 3pm received by SL.

Payment Methods: (updated: 17 May 2012)

Client can choose to change of billing date after the policy is issued by submission of Policy Alteration Form plus one month modal premium (for monthly payment mode); same case applied to Direct Debit Authorization (DDA), Credit Card Authorization (CCA) and Banker's Standing Order (BSO) as recurring payment method.

Payment must be made by Policy Owner or 3rd party payor with the following relationship:

The following must be submitted for payment from 3rd party:

Source of Fund form to be signed by the policyowner and the 3rd party payer, information stated should be on the 3rd party payer If ‘Regular Savings from Salary’ is selected as Source of Wealth, please specify the total income in the past 12 months. For all other options selected, please specify the exact amount.

Relationship confirmation, one of the following:

o    Certified true copy of Family Relationship proof document

o    State the relationship between the policyowner/3rd party payer with signature by the policyowner and the 3rd party  payer, endorsed by the IFA (On the Addendum to Application* or On the Source of Fund* form under the blank area by (b))

"Addendum to Application" stating reason for third party payment signed by policy owners and the third party payer and endorsed by the broker

Certified true copy of Identification document (ID card copy or passport) of the 3rd party payer

If the 3rd party payor is paying ongoing premium payments then a new payment method authorization form – DDA, CCA, etc, must be signed by the 3rd party payer

Address proof is not required unless it is required by Heng An Standard Life , or OnePlatform has to conduct further verification with the client’s identity.  (Updated: 2 Nov 2018)

DO NOT write the BSO start date

BSO payment form in Harvest 101 is applicable for HSBC only (Updated: 20 Dec 2013)

For other banks, please use the bank's own BSO form

2. Credit Card (Visa or MasterCard only)

The credit card expiry date must be over 3 months

For payment schedule, please refer to direct debit

Need to attach the credit card copy if the total payment amount is over HKD 39,000 or USD 5,000

If the total payment is over HKD 39,000 or USD 5,000 and the card is with the China UnionPay logo, please submit the payment by other method in accordance with the State Administration of Foreign Exchange on Regulating the Administration over Bank Cards in Foreign Currency Bank Cards (國家外匯管理局關於規範銀行外幣卡管理的通知)

3. Direct Debit Authorization                                               

    For monthly cases only

Complete information must be provided – Name of Bank and Branch with full Bank No, Branch No, Bank Account No. Name of Bank Account Holder(s) with HKID/Passport No., be specific about which identity document used at the bank when bank account was setup.

For Joint Bank Account Holder, Name, ID and signature are required for both Bank Account Holders.

For recurring payment method using DDA and Credit Card, the details of the Policy Start Date, Issue Date Range and the available Billing Date are summarized as follows:

If customer does not choose any billing date on the application form, then the Policy Start Date will become the Billing Date.

For first billing cycle on 5th; if the 1st try is rejected by the bank; we will initiate the 2nd try two weeks after on 20th; whereas if the 2nd try is also rejected by the bank, we will initiate the 3rd try (the last try) on 5th the next month; the same principle applied for first billing cycle on 12th and retry on 27th and last try on 12th the next month accordingly.  (updated: 17 May, 2012)
