Change of Ownership - AIA

Important Notice

1.   AIA forms should be submitted to SOD within 10 calendar days after sign date of client.

2.   All the form details must be filled in ENGLISH.

3.   AIA accept original printed copy, photocopy or printed copy from our own printer.  (updated: 4 March 2009)

4.   The original policy owner (assignor) and the new policy owner (assignee) must have insurable interest.  Otherwise, reason should be provided to the AIA for record purpose.

5.   Only the policy owner can be changed; the original life assured cannot be changed after the policy start.

6.   According to AIA, please read the Requirement for Signature of Witness    (updated on 11 June 2008)

7.  The plan term for Assignment is the Remaining term (in terms of months) of the policy. The no. of Remaining months can be calculated by Remaining Term Calculator.

8. Policy number must be filled on all AIA POS Request for Change Form, otherwise, AIA will not process the request and will return the request form. (Updated: 15 Mar 2017)

HKID/Macau ID, passport

With signature of consultant, printed full name of consultant

4.    Client Agreement Application Form (CA form) (from the assignee)  (updated: 11 Feb 2011)

5.    Direct Debit Authorisation for Bank Account ([D2]) (from the assignee) (If applicable)

6.    Cheque payment of 2 months premiums ( If client want to change the policy payer )

Since DDA needs 8 week to set up

9. PRC Verification is required or not if new owner or assignee is PRC client. Please refer to PRC Operation Guide.(Updated: 28 Mar 2023)

10. Address proof is not required unless it is required by AIA, or OnePlatform has to conduct further verification with the client’s identity. For PRC clients, according to the MCV guidelines, if customers declare their correspondence address is in Hong Kong, address proof is required. (Updated: 24 Oct 2017)
