Payment Method - Blue (Ex-Aviva)

Important Notice

Initial premium / payment is NOT mandatory. The principal will issue pending for reminding of premium settlement after underwriting decision.

Bank account name was changed to 'Blue Insurance Limited'. (Updated: 28 Jul 2021)

1. In order to comply with the regulatory requirements of Mainland China, China UnionPay Card is not allowed to pay for insurance products (except term plan) with immediate effect. (Updated: 3 Nov 2016)

2. Requirements for change of payment method has been revised that autopay by credit card will no longer be accepted with immediate effect from 17 Nov 2017.

    Please refer below payment methods subject to product rule:

    Annual or Semi-Annual Payment Mode:

  • Cheque
  • Telegraphic transfer from other than Mainland China
  • Direct debit from HKD bank account

    Monthly Payment Mode:

  • Direct debit from HKD bank account

3.   Two months advance payment should be submitted with the new DDA form

4.   The submission of document must be within 1 month from the sign date

5.   Client may repay the missing payment by bank draft / Cheque/ TT.

6.  Grace period of policy is 30 days.

7.  Blue will issue Premium Notice to client before 18 days from premium due date.

8.  Blue will issue Grace Period Expiration Notice to client before 5 days from premium  due date.

9.  If by cheque payment, Name of payee: Blue Insurance Limited. (Updated: 05 Nov 2021)

Change of Payment Method

Checklist

1. From Credit Card /DDA to DDA:

     Direct Debit Authorisation ([D3])

     Two months payment should be submitted in cheque

2. Update existing Credit Card expired dated. Completing the Credit Card Payment Authorisation ([C5]) and return the original document (all the pages) to Blue (Only applicable to the policy holder whose existing premium payment method is Credit Card)

4.    Client's certified ID copy

  • The client should also submit a copy of his / her most updated identification document to Blue together with their policy service request unless the same has been submitted before.

5.   Self-Certification Form (Individual) [S7] or Self-Certification Form (Entity) [S8] or Self-Certification Form (Controlling Person) [S9]

Third Party Payment                                                                                 

According to the Anti-money Laundering Guidance Notes (GN) issued by the Office of Commissioner of Insurance (OCI), third party payment is one of the suspicious activities of money laundering and Blue should take reasonable step to impose measure.

In general, Blue will not accept payment from third party, but some exceptions will be considered if the relationship between the policyholder and the payer can be established. The acceptable third party payment with the following relationships between Proposed Policyholder and Payor

The following documents will need to submit when applying the request: (Updated: 15 July 2014)

  •       Payer's identification document with certified true copy
  •       Payer's residential address proof and permanent address proof with certified true copy
  •       Proof of relationship between Payer and Proposed Policyholder
  •       Proposed Policyholder identification document with certified true copy
